DJ #5 Always running

In CHAPTER two of always running, all the way at the end, 2 "enemys" of his brother rano, eddy and ricky, come to corner luis. Ricky keeps chiming in saying translating anything to a simple hello to eddy as a insult, while eddy keeps smack talking his brother. They are envious of rano for being good at sports, claiming that his ribbions and medals he earned was done so by cheating. Both of this guys are just so annoying in the way they try to bully Luis, they cant go after rano, so to feel better about themselves they pick on the smaller more weaker version. luis "tries" to stand up to them and defend his brother, I say that because all he did was say round of duologue and mumbled under his breath, they end up fighting, eddy is winning by a mile, and soon the teachers come by and stop it, eddy and ricky run off while saying that "jose aint nothing, man. you're nothing." something they can never say to rano. later he tells rano what happened, and says one thing that he never said again to him, "Because I love you" after all the things he did in the past to him, ge got better, he turned out a better man, maybe the reason luis "tried" to stand to them and protected his brother, was because he too was envious of what he has become, something better then he has. He saw his hard work and looked at his hard work, that was an act of respect to someone who did what he wanted, because luis didn't have that strive back then.

DJ #4 Always running

In chapter 2 of always running, we meet the short lived life of tino, tin and luis go out to a elementary school to play some hoops. They have to go over a fence to get to the school it self, and of course that's against the law, but that aside, tino gets over no problem, but luis is having some trouble, after a while tino says forget you, im going to play by myself. this shows that tino isn't a good friend, but then again they are kids, no time for waiting. luis soon gets over and they start playing. The cops come and they run, tino telling luiz if they catch them, they will beat them up, now this could be true since they are Mexicans, or just that this child heard too many rumors, take your pick. They try to go on the rooftop of the cafeteria, tino again makes it no problem, but luis gets caught, what does tino do? He runs off and meets his karma, looks like the cafeteria had a skylight and he broke thru it by his weight, that's my guess. They didn't really say that he died, but he's never mentioned again to my knowledge, and also kids cant bonce on shards of glass so. maybe its better this way, kids like this will only get you into more trouble, but the true question is whether this kids route or the route he later take on after this, what was the better route?

DJ #3 Always running

in chapter four of always running, Rodriguez and the gang go on an epic trip of untold wonders, in order to start this trip they must get some rags of any textile and cans filled to the brim of various materials; carbono, clear plastic, paint or gasoline, you name it. Bring your friends along because it is dangerous to go alone, you're going to need somebody to make sure you don't die on this epic adventure too soon. The worlds you may encounter is unlike any other, your mind will feel like clay, bodies will remove themselves form bodes, and your body will feel like its flying on sunshine. The possibilitys are endless. You will be transported to new worlds other then the world you are on, the oil stains you set on will turn to soft moss, the factory air will smell like roses and give you life with every breath, and the plastic can of death you used to get here will be nonexistent. Be careful tho, for there is a world that reflects your past, you will see what your life was once like, the happy moments that made you smile to the nightmares that give you wasted strength, the real world, the real life you wish you still had. once you see this window to the next world, there is no escape, worlds where the grass is made out of french fries will seem like a grey, dull limbo compared to this world of promise. This is where bringing friends comes in handy depended on your perspective of this new world. For they will drag you back to reality, the world that you are trapped in by your own lock and key. you will wish to go back but unable to as you lie awake wondering if it was a dream or a reminder of what you lost.

DJ #2 Always running

In the second chapter of always running, clavo, wilo, chicharron and Rodriguez, join or sneak into the animal tribe, strutting like solders thru the gang, after buying some cigarettes, checking out the scene. The reason i say sneak is because they write out the gangs name on the back of their white t-shirts with nail polish and some ragged tag gang uniform, i don't know whats fashionable back in the days but this seems out of place even for a gang. Especially for one of the newest and strongest clique as stated by Rodriguez. whats fun about this gang is that they are sort of a partnership of 2 family's; the five Lopez brothers and the Dominguezes. Five Lopez brothers hooked up with 2 Dominguez brothers and their four sisters, and that was a start of a beautiful relationship. Now this shows that gangs can work together, and i think Rodriguez likes that part of it, they even sometimes merge other gangs that they defeat into them. But the deal breaker is that this gang forces new members to go thru a 2 rows of fists and kicks form the old members and somebody back then used brass knuckles and cracked a few ribs with it. This is just guess but i think after seeing this they decided to go join some new gang called "the southwest boys" for a while. Good choice.

DJ #1 Always Running

In the first page of the novel Always Running, the author begins with a prologue of Rodriguez and his family in their car in Las Angeles. He uses words like veering and potholes to describe their ride, with mama on the left side, and father at the wheel, showing that's he's in charge of the family. sentences like, "there was a space between the boys and girls to keep us apart." and, "The car seats came apart at the strands." just symbolize how the family isn't together as they should be. Then Rodrigues tells the reader that the father give them animal names since birth; Grillo, Rano, La Pata, and Cuca. All names of pests, things that would annoy you. Then three paragraphs in, we see that mama and father are already arguing about home. mama wants to go back to Mexico, father wants to stay here. this just sets up the tone of disconnect, family issues that their family is dealing with.
